Tottenham considering Lanzini bid

Remember when people though that Tottenham would be the dark horses to win the Premier League this season? Well it appears as though the North London side no longer know how to play domestic football, perhaps because of their recent success in Europe. Either than or beating Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund is actually an easier feat that picking up three points at home to West Brom.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are without a win in their last four league games, having scored just three times across those fixtures. As everyone knows the best way to get back to winning ways is to bring in a prolific goal scorer, so Spurs are turning their attention to West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini, according to ESPN.

But wait, I hear you cry, the Argentinian playmaker has only scored once this season, and the Hammers are second from bottom. Well, that doesn’t seem to bother Tottenham, who seem keen on bringing the midfielder in to watch on from the substitutes bench.

The North London side aren’t exactly lacking in the attacking midfield area, with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Heung-min Son and Moussa Dembele all capable of playing there, and making an impact.

Still, perhaps Lanzini wants a move away from West Ham, who look destined to be relegated this season. I wouldn’t turn down a move to Tottenham, and I doubt he would either.
